New Life for All

It's hard to believe that Easter is right around the corner. It seems like we were just celebrating the Christmas season. As my wife and I were walking the other day when the weather was so beautiful, there was something missing as we were soaking in the rays. Everything was still dead – the trees, the grass, not a flower in sight. The walk wasn't what it could have been because everything is still in a dormant state. It made me think of how  when we give our hearts to the Lord, He breathes life into our otherwise, dead spirit. It's the born again experience that causes us to see everything in a different way. Once Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, it was as though hope came alive in this world we live. That is why I love Easter! There is not a soul in this world that cannot be touched by the power of the resurrection. If you know someone that is in need of a life giving experience that will change their life forever, make sure you invite them to our 11:00 a.m. Easter service on March 27. Afterwards, there will be an Easter egg hunt for all the children, 11 and under!

Our annual all church work day will be on March 12 and will begin at 7:00 a.m. We will be working inside and outside in order to spruce up everything for an incredible Easter Sunday.

Be sure to remember our youth in prayer as they head to another Illinois District Youth Convention.
