At this time of year, with the pleasant weather, the absolutely beautiful leaves and soon to come Thanksgiving season, it’s easy to get caught up in the blessings of life. Everyone of us are extremely fortunate to partake in so many of God’s blessings. Scripture repeatedly let’s us know what it is to be thankful. Today we are doing what the people of God were encouraged to do during the time of King David. Psalm 95:2-3 says, “Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.” There is nothing like a Spirit-filled worship service like often have, here at ARC. A wonderful presence of the Lord has been the result of the fervent praise. God has definitely showed Himself in response to the worship that has been offered to Him. Perhaps, on the minds of many may be the scripture, “…give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.” That kind of says it all. God is good to us by showing mercy. I’m thankful His mercy is not a one time deal. Because of His love for humanity, He shows mercy to us, continually. This time of year it is easy to see all of God’s benefits in living for Him. For there is no better life than living for the Lord!
